Tell Minister Furey: Nova Scotia Needs a Public Inquiry into Mass Shooting

On April 18 and 19, the largest mass shooting in Canadian history took place in Nova Scotia. Almost immediately, victims and their families, communities, feminist organizations, legal experts, senators, and the public at large began calling for a public inquiry. And while Minister Furey said details of an inquiry would be released in early June, Nova Scotians are still in the dark.

We call on Justice Minister Mark Furey to:

1. End the delays. Call a public inquiry now.

2. End the secrecy and behind-closed-doors decision-making.

3. Hold regular press briefings to update the public.

Sign if you agree that Minister Furey should call a public inquiry now.
