Statement from Lenore Zann about the Truro Daily News

TRURO – NDP MLA for Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River, Lenore Zann made the following statement today in response to news that the Truro Daily News will become a weekly newspaper:

“The decision to turn the Truro Daily News into a weekly newspaper is a loss for the community. Truro and the surrounding area is a vibrant community that deserves to have a dedicated daily paper to tell our stories.

I want to thank the reporters and staff at the paper for their work over the years, and hope that this change does not also mean there will be job losses in their newsroom.”
