Inspiring Inclusion means building pathways

HALIFAX – NDP Status of Women spokesperson Suzy Hansen made the following statement for International Women’s Day:

“International Women’s Day is a global day to recognize and celebrate women and girls' social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It's also an important time to raise awareness of the progress made toward achieving gender equity and the work that remains.
This year’s theme “Inspire Inclusion” asks us to imagine a gender-equal world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where differences are valued and celebrated.
The NDP Caucus is committed to building pathways to inclusion for Nova Scotian women and gender-diverse people through wage equity, affordable childcare, access to timely healthcare, and affordable housing options. Our caucus has a solid record of working toward inclusion with the election of women and gender-diverse people to office and we will continue this work for all Nova Scotian Women.”
