Housing crisis worsens as temperatures drop

HALIFAX – NDP Housing spokesperson Suzy Hansen made the following statement about the need for housing during the winter months:

“The Nova Scotia election was four months ago today. In that time, the need for affordable housing has become more and more clear. Tim Houston and his government say they see the need to act quickly but there are still people sleeping outside.

When we say we need housing now, we mean now. The Premier needs to step up and make sure people have a safe place to sleep, especially during the cold winter months.”
