NSNDP Caucus holds first retreat as Official Opposition ahead of spring sitting

BRIDGEWATER – Members of the NSNDP Caucus are in Bridgewater Monday and Tuesday for a caucus retreat ahead of the spring sitting.

New Democrats will discuss the upcoming spring budget and legislative session, and priorities and policies to improve the lives of Nova Scotians across the province.

“Our Caucus is dedicated to doing the work to ensure that the needs of Nova Scotians come first, starting with a close look at the upcoming budget and government legislation,” said NSNDP Leader Claudia Chender. “Nova Scotians deserve a strong opposition that will fight to make life better for everyone.”

New Democrats will continue working for the things Nova Scotians need, including homes people can afford, lower costs on necessities like groceries, commuting and power bills, and health care everyone can rely on when and where they need it.

“While the PCs are focused on helping their well-connected friends, New Democrats are working to give everyday people a break,” said NSNDP Caucus Chair Susan Leblanc. “We’re excited for the upcoming spring session, where we can put our ideas forward and work for all Nova Scotians.”

The spring session of the legislature begins February 14.
