Martin: Negotiations impossible under Liberals' Bill 148
NSHA and IWK have filed for conciliation
Halifax - NDP Labour spokesperson Tammy Martin made the following statement in reaction to news that the Nova Scotia Health Authority and IWK have filed for conciliation:
"Today's news is just another example of a growing problem between the McNeil government and the front-line service workers in the province.
Just as we saw with teachers, the Liberals’ attacks on health care workers with Bill 148 have made it impossible for this Liberal government to negotiate contracts with the people who deliver health care in our province.
These issues will continue to come up. We should be working with the front-line staff of our health system, not against them."
