In just a few weeks, the Liberal government will make sweeping changes to the Education Act, based on the recommendations from the Glaze Report, including eliminating democratically-elected local representatives.

Centralizing decision-making in Halifax hasn’t improved patient care and it won’t improve our classrooms.

We call on the Liberal government to pause the process of implementing changes to the Education Act and undertake meaningful consultation on the Glaze Report recommendations with all stakeholders including parents, teachers, school boards, school advisory councils, students, and community members.
